What Dr. Martin can accomplish with porcelain veneers
A straighter, whiter, fuller smile is possible without braces and usually in two visits with porcelain veneers.
Veneering literally means removing a portion of a tooth and placing a veneer of porcelain over the top and over the edge of the teeth, bonding them into place to change the shape, color, position or texture.
Porcelain veneers have a lifelike appearance and durability that only porcelain restorations can offer. They will not discolor or wear like natural tooth enamel. Veneers look natural and aesthetically pleasing and are stain resistant and soft on gums. In some cases, veneers can serve a restorative purpose and can protect a damaged tooth from further harm. With today’s technology, porcelain veneers can last up to 20 years.
