Dr. Charles Martin
Dr. Martin is your neighbor, and he’d like the honor of being your dentist. Born on the Virginia side of Bristol, the doctor grew up on the Tennessee side. He has lived in Richmond since 1975, and he and his wife have five children growing up in this community. Dr. Martin enjoys coaching youth football in Chesterfield County. He’s a member of Leadership Metro Richmond, former president of his community association, and former president of Virginia Tech Alumni of Richmond.
With an undergraduate degree in biology from Virginia Tech, Dr. Charles Martin earned his DDS at Medical College of Virginia, graduating in 1979. He has always valued education, so in addition to teaching at Georgetown University and Medical College of Virginia, he has studied at the Misch Implant Institute, Dawson Center, Pankey Institute, Case Western Reserve University, as well as under the direction of some of the most brilliant and distinguished dentists around the globe. Dr. Martin is proud to hold the distinction of Master in the Academy and Diplomate of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
In addition to caring for patients at his private practice, Richmond Smile Center, Dr. Martin has authored numerous books, including three consumer books: Don’t Sugar Coat It, This Won’t Hurt a Bit, and Are Your Teeth Killing You?
While Dr. Martin and his team offer complete general dentistry, the doctor particularly enjoys challenging cases. He offers smile makeovers, dental implants, and sedation dentistry at Richmond Smile Center, and he is happy to accept new patients.
