Regular Detection and Prevention is a lot Less Expensive than Procrastination when it comes to your Teeth

Procrastination is a terrible thing, especially when it comes to taking proper care of your teeth.  Prevention and regular detection are a lot less expensive in the long run that putting off doing the right things to maintain good oral hygiene.  Here are a few tips that are sure to make you smile about your teeth and your dental bills:

-Use a soft bristled toothbrush to avoid scratching your gums or tooth enamel;
-Choose a fluoride toothpaste with American Dental Association (ADA) approval;
-Brush your teeth at least twice a day using back and forth movements;
-Make sure to brush the inside of your teeth, all tooth surfaces and your molars;
-Gently brush your gums and brush your tongue to remove bacteria;
-Rinse with water or mouthwash after brushing your teeth;
-Floss in between your teeth every day to remove plaque that your toothbrush can't reach;
-Schedule regular visits with your dentist for routine checkups and with the dental hygienist for routine cleanings.

By observing a few healthy habits, your teeth will remain attractive for many years to come.  When it comes to having a terrific smile, you never put off until tomorrow what you need to do today – take good care of your teeth because you only get one set!
